ST
Short for Striker. A striker is a forward whose primary responsibility is to attack and score goals. A striker, like a CF player, is normally positioned in the centre of the attacking line, but they can peel off opposing defenders and sprint into space via the defender's blind side to receive the ball and score.
CF
Short for Centre Forward. A centre forward is a forward whose primary responsibility is to attack and score goals. The centre of the attacking line is usually occupied by a CF player.
LF
Short for Left Forward. A left forward is an inside forward who plays on the left side of the field closest to the opposing team's goal and is in charge of scoring goals for his or her club.
RF
Short for Right Forward. A right forward is an inside forward who plays on the right side of the field closest to the opposing team's goal and is in charge of scoring goals for his or her club.
RW
Short for Right Winger. A right winger (RW) is a wide attacking player (a Winger) who plays on the right side of the field towards the touchlines.
LW
Short for Left Winger. A left winger (LW) is a wide attacking player (a Winger) who plays on the left side of the field near the touchlines.
