ST (Striker)

Short for Striker. A striker (ST) is a forward whose primary responsibility is to attack and score goals. A striker, like a CF player, is normally positioned in the centre of the attacking line, but they can peel off opposing defenders and sprint into space via the defender's blind side to receive the ball and score.

Strikers must be quick, have strong ball control, and be able to dribble the ball properly. They also needed to score goals and finish at a high rate.

Modern strikers are highly versatile, offering more than just goal-scoring ability. They often drop deeper to connect play, apply defensive pressure to win back possession, and create space by pulling defenders out of position. Essential qualities include composure, speed, physical strength, and quick decision-making, making them a constant threat in open play and set-piece situations.
