RM

Short for Right Midfielder. A right midfielder (RM) is a wide midfielder who plays a role that is balanced between attack and defence, similar to that of a central midfielder, but on the right side of the pitch and closer to the touchlines.

Right-footed midfielders are the most common. A midfielder's responsibilities are similar to those of a midfielder, with the exception that they are frequently expected to cross the ball into the opponents' penalty box to create scoring opportunities for their teammates.
