Player Positions and Roles Book

RM (Right Midfielder)

A Right Midfielder (RM) is a key player on the flanks, contributing significantly to both the attack and defense. Positioned on the right side, their primary responsibility is to stretch the opposition's defense by providing width to the attack, delivering crosses into the box, and cutting inside to create goal-scoring opportunities. With excellent dribbling skills and pace, the RM excels at taking on defenders one-on-one, using their speed and agility to exploit space on the right side of the pitch.

In addition to their attacking duties, a Right Midfielder also plays an important role in defensive transitions. They track back to support the right-back, pressuring the opposing full-backs and wing-backs to limit the opponent's attacking options. The RM must have stamina to make repeated runs up and down the flank, contributing both offensively and defensively. Effective communication and teamwork with forwards and defenders are essential, ensuring balance in the team’s overall play.
